Honest Burger Windsor is a new addition to the high street restaurants opposite the Castle.

We know this company has a lot of restaurants in other locations, however as always we want to test it out ourselves to see what it is like.

This restaurant has a wonderful internal decor, its not the largest of restaurants however this shouldnt be seen as a negative as it still gives a wonderful buzzy vibe.

Also one of the benefits for slightly larger groups (ours was 11) is that theiris additional seating upstairs, this makes it great as you have a private dining area for yourself, overlooking Windsor Castle.

The Food @ Honest Burger Windsor.

As you would imagine Honest Burger has a whole variety of different burgers on their menu from Chicken to Beef to Chilli and inbetween.  They also have a range of Vegan and Vegetarian burgers, all of which are super tasty.

The price is really reasonable too and you get a good portion for your money.

What we would say is the burgers are not your standard fast food or pub burgers (in our opinion) they are really well made, super juicy and just delicious.

We were all a little jelous of one of our group when their side order of onion rings came out, they are a fantastic side, seasoned really well and very crispy!

Crispy Onion Rings from Honest Burger Windsor

The onion rings from Honest Burger Windsor are seasoned really well and super crispy too.

Often there are specials as well which can be found at the restaurant.  When we visited they had The Windsor Burger which sounded very appropriate for the area.  See the special board for the burger below.

The Windsor Burger Special. Very tasty.

See the Windsor Burger special below.  It has to be one of the nicest burgers we have tried in a while.  The filling was nice and juicy, yet the onions and bun had a really nice crunch to it, something we really look forward to in a burger.

The chips (fries to our American guests) were also really crispy and seasoned really well with rosemary salt, of which we havent come accross before.

The Windsor Burger from Honest Burger

The Windsor Burger is a wonderful special addition to the menu. Our team loved it, well done Honest Burger Windsor.

There was one small negative that we felt could have made our experience a little better and that was the lack of a dessert menu.

However having said this, because of the wonderful location it actually made it a benefit because the bill was paid and we then wondered up the hill to do a nice long walk around the castle before heading back to our cars and home.

Honest Burger Windsor are open for both Lunch and Dinner, we are not certain but we think they have a lunchtime deal as well which would make it a great place to grab a bite whilst exploring Windsor.

All in all it was a fantastic restaurant for our group to visit.  We sat facing Windsor Castle which was really special and the service and food was lovely, the whole experience was just lovely, thank you Honest Burger Windsor.

Sometimes we get that little urge to have something a bit naughty whilst away from home, and if thats what you are looking for then Flaming Cow Windsor is a great place to go.  This restaurant is ideal for keeping energetic teenagers fed and satisfied, for a few minutes before the next adventure on your trip.  If you are looking for that quick bite of lunch in between activities then flaming cow really is a great option.

Flaming Cow is what we would call an indulgent American Burger joint and it certainly will not disapoint you at all.  They serve Burgers, Hot Dogs, Tacos, Ribs and a whole bundle of different sides, plus their milkshakes with or without some Alcohol are all so tasty.

For those looking to not spend the earth, they have offers on all the time and quite often you can find a really good lunchtime deal as well.

So if you are looking for something quick, easy and extreemly tasty for the family and are not too bothered about counting those calories on holiday, then Flaming Cow Windsor is for you.  The restaurant is located on the River Thames, with views of Windsor Castle and the Eton/Windsor pedestrian bridge.

Browns restaurant in Windsor is one of our favourite places to eat, drink and socialise with friends.  We regularly  recommend this place to our guests who are looking for a buzzy place to host an Adult catch up meal or reunion.  The restaurant has a fantastic lively atmosphere, its always wonderfully designed with different decor to suit the season or holiday occasion, its right next to the river as well, which in our books is a massive plus for that after dinner stroll.

Who is Browns in Windsor suited for?

Browns Windsor is open all day, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner – although browns is suitable for all ages, we would recommend that in the evening it is great for those more grown up families, adult reunions and date night get aways, although children are very much welcomed.

The restaurant itself has a few seating zones within the property, our favourite being the terrace or balcony in the summer months as you get to watch the day to day life go by whilst bathing in the sunshine.  There are lots of tables, however we would recommend that you book to ensure that you get one.

What Food do they serve at Browns?

Browns have an exciting, varied menu of British classics, which are jazzed up and changed to suit the seasons and taste at the time.   All foods are ethically sourced and the restaurant has very close relationships with farmers, fishermen and local suppliers to ensure top quality produce.

One of our favourite things about Browns is their decor, they are always changing the external and try their utmost to ensure that the frontage is always looking fresh and exciting.   See some of the picture examples below.

Cote Brasserie in Windsor is one of our guests favourite places to go.  Whether it be Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or Dinner we are always recommending guests to book here.  The restaurant is right on the river and is overlooked by Windsor Castle, making it such a special place to meet up with family and friends.

We are always suggesting to guests that they book Cote Brasserie for a special brunch in the morning, it really is the perfect place to go with the family.  Make sure to book an outside table right next to the river, perhaps outside if its not too chilly.  For slightly larger groups ask for the upper conservatory tables near the open windows.  This way you can be right next to the river whilst being overlooked by Windsor Castle.

“Cote Brasserie restaurant Windsor is great for a catch up with friends.”

Cote Brasserie Windsor is great for friends, family and business professionals. It has many different dining areas throughout the building, making it almost seem that every area is a little exclusive and private for its diners.

We do find that the restaurant gets quite busy and does tend to get completely booked up at peak periods so we really would recommend to our guests that they book in advance to ensure that they have a table at the times they would like.

Many of our previous guests have raved about this independent shop.  Most of them comment upon how useful it was to find a local deli shop, so close to our Eton apartments, where they can buy meats and cheeses etc for pack lunches.  Many of our guests enjoy strolling down the Long Walk or wondering along the River Thames trails and having some fresh produce from Tastes Delicatessen is perfect for those family activities.

Although Eton high street has other shops and supermarkets.  If you are looking for a true local and independant shop, stocking the finest produce, then Tastes Delicatessen in Eton is where you should go.

Eton is such a quaint town, steeped in history and with such a unique, diverse high street.  Many regular visitors to the area who regularly stay overnight in Windsor, always comment that they will stay with us in Eton moving forward.  We believe this is mainly due to the fantastic, diverse high street with quirky independant shops, with a uniquely quiet, yet buzzing atmosphere.  If you havent stayed in one of our Eton College apartments before, get in touch with us to learn more.

Enzo’s Italian Restaurant Windsor is a firm favourite of the team here at Castle Properties, often the team can be found here for lunch.   Enzo’s restaurant serves wonderfully authentic Italian food for its diners, all dishes are cooked and made to order fresh.  This ensures that the food it always of top quality and keeps customers like our team coming back for more.

Who is the restaurant suitable for?

The restaurant is open for Lunch and Dinner, it is suitable for families, couples, business professionals and friendship groups.  Groups are welcomed and it is recommended that for the larger groups that bookings are made to not disappoint.

Enzo’s has a reputation where it prides itself on their highly trained, helpful and friendly staff and this certainly shines through when you visit.

The decor is wonderful and features a wood fired Pizza oven, making the pizzas that extra bit special than in a conventional pizza oven.  All of the food is homemade and the menu features  Pizza, Pasta, Meats, Fish, Salads and some of the most lovely italian desserts. See the menu here: https://enzoswindsor.co.uk/menu/

Enzo’s italian restaurant windsor use local suppliers for their meat and vegetables.  Most of their cakes are baked onsite in the kitchens.  Fresh bread is baked throughout the day for guests.  Enzo’s italian restaurant Windsor serves such fresh tasty food that it had to make our list of recommendations for good quality italian food in Windsor.  The value for money that guests recieve from this restaurant is very good, we recommend trying this restaurant, its one of our favourite italian restaurants in the area.

Clairmont’s Windsor Coffee shop is THE place to go if you want to find out what its like to live like a local in this special Royal town.  Clairmont’s has a vibrant friendly atmosphere, the staff and owner are always so welcoming.

This Windsor Coffee shop has inside and outside seating, enabling its customers to choose.  It is pet friendly and almost every time one of our team pops in we are greeted by other customers friendly side kicks.

Who is Clairmont’s Windsor Coffee Shop recommended for?

We would recommend that Clairmont’s Windsor coffee shop is suitable for couples, small families and business professionals.  We would describe the cafe as quaint, but this does come with some restrictions and so we would suggest that groups of more than 5 or 6 persons may struggle to sit on one table.

Clairmont’s is an independant coffee shop which in our opinion serves wonderful coffee.  The menu offers its customers a great selection of homemade cakes, paninis, pastries and other bakes.

Situated opposite Windsor Guildhall, Clairmont’s Windsor coffee shop is in an ideal location to walk the Long Mile or as a quick breakfast or lunch stop before seeing the other sites Windsor has to offer.

Bookings are not necessary at this coffee shop, it is a strict first come, first serve for the tables.  However customers will often be able to get a table.

Meat at the Parish is a steak restaurant in Windsor.  It is a wonderful independant steak restaurant opposite the Guildhall, right in the centre of Windsor.  The restaurant is moments away from Windsor Castle, the main shopping district and Long Walk.

If you are looking for fantastic steaks, great wines in a wonderfully designed setting with great service then this truly is the place to go.

This steak restaurant in Windsor has a selection of special cuts on its chalk boards inside the restaurant for diners to choose, if they so wish.  Once they are gone, they are gone.

The restaurant displays its ageing beef and wine selections cleverly in the design of the restaurant.  The team like to showcase this to all its diners, making it more interactive.

Who is Meat At The Parish recommended for?

We like to recommend this restaurant for guests of ours who are couples, friend gatherings or family get togethers with teenagers.  Meat At The Parish windsor do not offer a childrens menu and suggest on their website that its not the place for children under 10 years old.

We would suggest that the price is on the medium to higher levels.  However the quality of food is excellent and you can see this shine through.

The restaurant is so well positioned that it makes it so extra special for those memorable after dinner walks under moon light.

Our recommendation is to take a stroll down to the Long Walk.  From here you then can come back up St Albans Street, through Church Street and onto the Castle, truly bliss.
